Playing cards
An Alice in Wonderland inspired idea and a challenge I had set for myself after creating the silk rose petal dress was to look for a new material to make my next creation and I chose playing cards.
10 decks, lots of sticky tape, and I had a dress. Not stopping there I proceeded to make a full length cape and crown. With a few extra accessories, earrings and a ring would set it off.
Found a wonderful model and set a date in the studio. Shooting this and seeing a final product really made all the time and effort that goes into these creation of wearable art all worth the while.
